[The Alcryst of not-so-long-ago might have decided he was too incompetent to take care of an animal, but here he is, bringing one home anyway. Fogado smiles up at Alcryst, gives Topaz one last set of scritches, then gets to his feet and moves to the kitchen.]

I'll grab him a bowl of water. Do you have food and stuff for him already? What does he like to eat?
